Located at Expo New Mexico (formerly the New Mexico State Fairgrounds), the tenth annual Great Southwestern Antique Show will undoubtedly pack the Lujan Building again this year on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, August 8-10, 2008, while benefiting two local charities.

Sponsored by Cowboys and Indians Antiques on Nob Hill, a “Hard Hat” sneak preview charitable event during show set-up on Friday (2:00 pm to 7:00 pm) will offer shoppers early access to collections from over 200 antique and folk art, American Indian, western, and ethnographic arts dealers across the United States.

The $75 per person sneak preview admission fee is completely tax deductible and provides access to all three days of the show. Better still, 100 percent of sneak preview proceeds are donated 50/50 to the show’s co-beneficiaries, directly aiding the disabled through VSA of New Mexico and the Silent Partner Endowment of St. Pius X, which supports single-parent families in financial need.

“This is the second year VSA Arts of New Mexico is a co-beneficiary of the Great Southwestern sneak preview,” said Lina Jabra, VSA Art Enterprises/Community Exhibits Manager. “These funds support our Day Arts Program offerings in visual arts, literary and performing arts classes for adults with developmental disabilities. We are extremely grateful and invite you to visit our booth and purchase a piece of original art during the weekend.”

General Admission is $8 per day or $12 for both. Show hours on Saturday are 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, Sunday from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.
